OT really quick question

on stock 99 gsr rims that take 195 55 15's
will the rim take 205 55 15's, will 205's fit the rim?
i like the rims(more surface area better grip? )

I have the 205's on my 96 GSR rims with no problems. Im sure their the same width.

I would not use a 205/55/15. To tall.

I've got 205/50ZR15s on OE GSR rims. They work fine. A wider rim would be better though.

I'm running RE730 205/50/15s. Grip is more a function of tire compound. You're getting into race compounds to be able to take advantage of a wider tread than the 205.

P.S.
My Re730s have gotten pretty noisy at 30-50 mph. So far, they are the best combination of wet & dry traction as well as cheaper than my last set (Dunlop 9000s). I don't know if I'll put up with the noise on the next set.

I run 205/50R15s as well. Great tire size for the stock rims.

My wheels are the same size as GSR wheels. I'm running 205/55/15's which are in fact a little tall like lundgren said. I knew I needed 50's instead of 55's but who would turn down 4 new michelin pilot's for $25.00/piece You'll be fine with 205/50/15's.
